Graeme Haycroft

Arguably one of the most experienced and successful industrial relations practitioners in Australia, Graeme’s background in the industry started from the time he pioneered Collective Workplace Agreements in the late 1980s.

Since then, his breakthrough achievements include the introduction of subcontract shearing at Charleville, the consequences of which have allowed significant improvement in the flexibility of shearing operations. Graeme also played a critical role in setting up a series of union-free high-rise construction sites on the Sunshine Coast, reducing building costs and improving work security for building workers. 

In the late 1980’s Graeme’s firm arranged almost half of Queensland’s enterprise agreements and in the early noughties was the biggest producer of independent employment contracts in the country.

He has a proven track record of industrial negotiation and advocacy. He remains actively involved in labour market reform, most recently as chairperson of the LNP Queensland Small Business and Industrial Relations Policy Committee.
